PVE History Timeline
Paint Valley Equipment began with a simple goal: to provide reliable replacement parts for hardworking machines. Founded in 1984 as a family-run operation in the heart of Ohio, PVE was built on craftsmanship, grit, and a commitment to quality that still defines us today. What started as a small local shop has grown into a 42,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility producing thousands of OEM-compatible components for part suppliers across North America.
Discover the history of PVE below—how we started, how we’ve grown, and what continues to drive us forward.
1984

1990s

Lee Miller rejoins the family business in 1990, taking on a larger role. As used equipment sales grew, they discovered a need for replacement parts that were both affordable and dependable, sparking the idea to begin manufacturing. Lee’s return marked the beginning of a powerful father-son partnership that would shape PVE’s future.
1992

Levi and Lee officially transitioned from repairs to in-house manufacturing, launching their first product: track adjusters for Case dozers. With rising demand and support from distributors, PVE began developing a wider product line, laying the foundation for the manufacturer it is today.
2003

Realizing the limits of outsourcing to 14 local sub-shops, the Millers built a 42,000 sq. ft. facility to bring manufacturing in-house. This move dramatically improved quality control, boosted efficiency, and positioned PVE for long-term growth. With design processes going digital and new machinery added, PVE’s capabilities and capacity skyrocketed.
2007

PVE officially becomes a dealer-only supplier, streamlining operations to focus on national wholesale while honoring local roots. The team stays committed to fast service, quality parts, and building relationships that values continue to define the company.
2010

Paint Valley Equipment acquired Acu-Form, a separate business specializing in metal roll-forming equipment. While independently operated, Acu-Form shares our commitment to U.S. manufacturing and precision-built machinery, making it a natural fit within our broader mission.
2016

In 2016, Paint Valley Equipment proudly hosted the Used Parts Network Convention, welcoming industry peers and showcasing its commitment to collaboration, innovation, and the equipment parts community.
2024

With over 5,000 products in our catalog and nearly 100 orders shipped daily, Paint Valley Equipment remains a trusted name in heavy equipment parts. Led by Lee and Dawn Miller—and now joined by the third generation—we’re proud to build work that matters for people who care.
