Log Arch Pin & Roller Kits

Raw Materials Cost
In the past couple of months, there has been an impact on the materials cost of various materials including steel, which is a key material here at PVE. Due to the two-year exclusion for some imported goods into America that has expired and kinks in the global supply chain drive material prices have driven higher.
As quoted in an article in the Construction Drive, Daniel Pomfrett, national director of forecasting and analytics at construction cost tracking firm Cumming, says that “Prices of both lumber and steel — two primary building materials — have surged anywhere from 20% to 25% recently.”
Due to these raw materials cost increases throughout the market, we have recently had to make some adjustments to our product pricing this month. This is not a decision we take lightly at PVE and we are continually striving to keep these changes to a minimum.
Floating Seals

Floating/face seals are important for the function of the machine in order to retain oil and prevent debris from entering the bearings and gears. As with any seal, wear and tear over the life of the machine will require replacement to keep the equipment functioning properly.
At PVE we recognize the need owners of equipment have for quick and cost-effective access to replacement parts, so we have recently expanded our inventory on floating seals. Family Workplace
Not only does PVE value the relationships we have with our dealers, but we value the relationships and culture we have built within the company. Pictured above showcases the family atmosphere and generations at PVE.
In 1984, Levi Miller started the company by building a homemade track press to service other people’s equipment and undercarriage needs, and Paint Valley Equipment was born. His son Lee Miller, has continued to evolve and grow Paint Valley Equipment. Now his daughter, Whitney, works for the company as a Dealer Account Specialist. Whitney talks about what it means to be part of the family business “In a family business, you aren’t just working for a corporation, you’re working to carry on a family tradition and contribute to the family legacy. That is something I take a lot of pride in. Working in the family business for the last few years has given me the opportunity to wear many different hats. That has given me the chance to understand how things are managed here and the value of each individual on our team, including the customers to achieve a shared vision”.
The father and son combo, Mark and Colten Hostetler, are both a part of the Dealer Support Team. Mark has been with PVE since 2005 and his son Colten recently joined us in August of 2020. Colton explained what has been the best part about working with his dad the past couple of months “I think my favorite part of working with dad is seeing the impact he has made on the company over the last 15+ years. You can see it in our dealers, and you can see it most importantly in the culture of PVE. He is genuinely invested in all the people here and wants to see the people grow just as much as the company. I am trying to be a sponge and learn as much as I can from him. He always puts everyone else first, and I try to do that in my life as well”.
Joe, Martha, and Kyle Wengerd are another family generational part of PVE. Joe is a part of our Dealer Support Team, Martha is a part-time receptionist and Kyle is a member of the shipping department. The Wengerd family not only brings a family atmosphere to PVE, but also many vital skills and qualities PVE strives for.

The Unexpected Year
From a deadly pandemic to a global movement for racial justice, the year 2020 has certainly experienced its fair share of events. Although it has been a year of lots of change it has also been a year of learning, growth, and new ideas here at PVE. Here are some of the things that happened around PVE this year.
We welcomed three new faces to the PVE team this year. Whitney joined the company just over a year ago as our receptionist and has recently transitioned to her new role as part of our Dealer Support Team. Colten is the son of sales manager Mark Hostetler and came on board with us in August as part of our Dealer Support Team. He brings a wealth of experience in customer service with him having spent several years working as a manager in retail sales. Lastly, Hannah recently joined us in October after graduating from Ohio Dominican and is transiting into her new role as our Marketing Manager.
From a product standpoint, we released ninety-three new products covering John Deere, Cat, and Case equipment. One of our core values, innovation, played a vital role in this production. As the world changes, we are always evolving whether that’s helping with customer solutions or keeping up with new machines. We are continually working to make parts that are best suited for our suppliers. This even includes having the best machines to produce the best products, with the new addition of our plasma cutting board we were able to do just that. This machine will be able to increase material utilization and minimize consumable costs for us at PVE.
Due to the pandemic, our online e-commerce sales have had a big growth with the addition of our Dealer Gateway site. The Dealer Gateway was recently established in August 2019 where our dealers can check prices, inventory levels, place orders, track shipments, and more. However, in 2020 our dealer gateway became the perfect tool to be utilized during the pandemic allowing our suppliers to order products directly anytime anywhere.
These are just some of the many things that happened around PVE this year. We are looking forward to what 2021 has to offer.

Increase in Shipping Over Holiday Season

Over the past months, we have all experienced a very high increase in the volume of shipment across North America. With Black Friday deals and Christmas approaching fast, we expect to see this demand continuing as more people turn to online shopping.
Here at PVE we have an on-time delivery rate of 96%. We partner with most major shipping lines in the industry to create a seamless distribution process that ensures you get what you need, when you need it. Through this time, we will continue to do our part in conducting same day shipping and processing orders immediately, but our shipping partners may experience delays on their end due to high package volumes.
We ask you to be patient during this time as the demand for shipping over the holiday season spikes. It is always a good idea to plan for an extra day or two to receive your shipments during the holiday season!
New Faces at PVE – Same Exceptional Service

We are proud to introduce two new employees that are committed to helping our customers with their construction equipment parts needs. Whitney Miller and Colten Hostetler have recently joined the PVE parts sales team.
Whitney joined the company just over a year ago as our receptionist, and has recently transitioned to her new role in parts sales. She has enjoyed getting to know our customers, and brings a genuine concern for customer satisfaction to the job. When asked about what she enjoys about her role in sales Whitney said, “As someone with no mechanical background I have found it to be an enjoyable challenge to learn about heavy equipment and the products we offer.” Whitney’s friendly personality makes her a great fit for her customer service role.
Colten is the son of sales manager Mark Hostetler and came on board with us in August. He brings a wealth of experience in customer service with him having spent several years working as a manager in retail sales. Colten first became interested in working at PVE because of our company culture. “The manner in which PVE conducts business and values it customers is unlike any company I have been around” Colten stated. Colten has enjoyed learning about the heavy equipment parts industry and getting to know the people. He brings great attention to detail and passion for customer service to the team here at PVE.

For 95 years Caterpillar has been building various types and sizes of agricultural and construction equipment, and through the years has developed strong brand recognition. Case has been around for over 175 years, earning a reputation for producing quality, durable equipment for the construction and agricultural industries. Their machines remain extremely popular, and many of their older machines are still in use on work sites all over the world.
